Deleted Items
In many companies, the items stay in the Deleted Items for up to 30 days. In other business, the policy is to empty the Deleted Items whenever a user exits Outlook.

Try It: Find the Deleted Contact
Go to the Folder List and click on Deleted Items.

What Do You See? The deleted Contact card is, indeed, in the Deleted Items. You can DELETE the item permanently or return it to the Contacts by clicking MOVE TO Contacts.

Try This : Find the Folder Options
Right-click the Deleted Items folder.

The options include:
Create new folder
Empty
Recover deleted items...
Mark all as read
Assign policy
Permissions...

Memo to Self: When you click on Empty, the items are deleted permanently.
